Iron bark eaucalyptus natural edge bowl.
I turned this pc in November 2014 from a solid green log. The color is all natural. The ruff edge is the bark from the tree.

Olive naturl edge bowl. I turned this from an olive log in November 2014. It came from a 60 yeqr old tree.

Iron bark Eucalyptus natural edge bowl
The ruff edge is the bark on the tree. The color is natural. I use 2 different types of resins to seal and harden the bark.

Norfolk pine bowl.
The orange knots are from the branches. The dark areas is called spalting and occures from moisture and heat from the sun over about 6 months. The bowl is very transulent as can be seen from the pics.

The ruff edge is the original bark on the tree. The blue is resin that I dyed then inlaid. It is translucent as can be seen in the pics.

The rim of thisc was shaedby the log as were all my natural edge bowls.
The blue is Turquoise from the sleeping beauty mine in Az. The color of the wood is natural. This is a pc of crotch wood so there is much going on as far as grain and color.

This is a olive crotch from La Quinta ca. so there is much going on as far as color and grain. This log weighd in at around 50 lbs when I chucked it on the lathe. Know it weighs around 2lbs.
